My beautiful model and friend is a science fiction author, and the title of her first published book, Strange Woods, inspired this painting.  

Set in an other-worldly forest where vines reach out to entwine her, she stares out at us from behind a veil of deep red curls. Who is she, and where is she going? It's all part of the mystery... 

Oil paint on 1 5/8" cradled birch panel. Sides painted gray to match painting.
