Cowboy and horse work together during branding, holding the line taught. This alert horse knows his job well and puts just enough backwards pressure on the rope to hold it firm. With his hand on the line, the cowboy is ready to rewind for the next roping the second it's let go by the other cowboys on the team.
This is life on the land, working with animals, out in all weather, fully connected to the earth and all its cycles.
