Who is Krystii Melaine and what does she do?
Krystii Melaine is an award-winning professional artist. She has been painting traditional realism for nearly 30 years, and has recently set her imagination free to create beautiful modern art specifically for use by interior designers, fine art consultants, architects, and other trade professionals.
How do I get a trade account?
Interior designers, fine art consultants, architects, stores, galleries, and other registered art re-sellers can open an account to receive generous trade discounts off the retail prices. Click the To The Trade button to fill in your details. When your account is approved, you can sign in to the Krystii Melaine online store to purchase at your wholesale prices.
Do I have to open an account?
No. All art lovers are welcome to purchase original paintings or order giclées at retail prices without an account. Simply choose your favorite works of art, check out with our easy online shopping cart, then anticipate the fun of opening your box and hanging your new painting on the wall!
Is there a minimum order for Trade accounts?
No. You can buy one small thing or as much as you like!
Why should I sign up for New Art Alerts?
Our inventory of original paintings is small and exclusive by design, but ever-changing as paintings are sold and Krystii creates new pieces to add to the collections. Can you paint something specially for my space?
Yes. Krystii loves collaborating with interior designers, fine art consultants, and art collectors to create tailored solutions for your spaces. You communicate directly with the artist to fulfill the requirements of your project. Start with ideas from the Couture collection, order a variation on an original series, or tell Krystii about your space to brainstorm ideas. Krystii is an expert at matching color swatches, recommending sizes and shapes to work with your design, and finding innovative solutions for empty walls. Fixed price quotes are given before work starts on your painting.
How long does a Couture or custom painting take?
Special orders are scheduled in the order they are received, and according to your required delivery date. Some paintings take longer than others, so place your order early and we will work with you on a payment plan and delivery schedule that suits your project.
I need to get client approval but don't want to miss a new painting. What can I do?
We understand the time it takes to show paintings to your clients and get approval for purchase. Contact us to place a painting on 24 hour hold, allowing you time to show options to your client before purchase.
I missed out on a new painting. Can you paint another one for me?
Yes. While Krystii never repeats an original painting exactly, many of her paintings are part of a series that you can help to expand by ordering a custom variation. Call or email us to discuss your space and requirements.
How do I know if a painting will fit my wall and whether I'll like it?
If you aren't sure if a painting is right for your space, send us a photo of the room with some measurements. We will digitally place the painting in your room to show you how it will look. This is a free service to help you choose your perfect painting.
I'm not sure what to suggest to my clients. Can you help me?
Yes. Krystii is always happy to make suggestions that will complement the style and colors of your interior design. We can suggest ideas and digitally place paintings into photos of your room concepts. With our guidance you can offer fine art solutions to your clients with confidence.
I didn't find anything I like on your website. Do you have other options available?
Yes. Krystii can paint just about anything you want as a special order, or create a custom giclée design to your specifications. We also have a large catalog of sold paintings to draw on for ideas. If Krystii can't create what you want, we have a network of other artists across the USA that we can access for you. Just tell us what you need and we will happily work with you to find a solution.
Do you sell prints, and what is a Giclée?
Yes. Giclées are high quality printed reproductions. Our giclée collection will continue to grow as we add new images, but most original paintings can be ordered as giclées. A selection of recommended sizes and substrate options are listed for easy purchase. If you need a special size, different substrate, bulk order for a hospitality or healthcare project, or any other variation, contact Krystii to discuss your needs. All giclée reproductions are printed to order and everything can be customized, but because they are special orders, returns are generally not accepted unless there is a flaw in the production.
How accurate are colors on your website?
While we try to ensure colors appear as close as possible to the original image, they may vary on your screen. Giclée colors may also vary slightly with the printing process and different substrates. If you are unsure or if color matching is critical, please contact us for an accurate description or send us a swatch for color matching.
What are your shipping terms?
Shipping is free within the continental USA. Original studio inventory paintings ship in one to two weeks from Spokane, Washington, by UPS Ground. Giclées ship in three to four weeks. Special orders depend on the artist's schedule. We can hold paintings or giclée orders until your installation schedule is ready for them. Expedited processing and express shipping are sometimes available - contact us for a price. See our shipping policy for further information.
Do you ship internationally?"
Yes. We can ship almost anywhere in the world, but our system is not set up to calculate international shipping charges. Trade clients can place a draft order and we will complete the shipping charges for you manually. Retail customers outside the continental USA, please contact us for a shipping quote and we will process your order manually. You will then get an email notification with a link to complete your purchase online.
Do you offer a payment plan?
Yes. We are happy to offer interest-free payment plans tailored to your needs. This allows you to secure the right pieces early in the project and spread payments out until completion. If art is not part of the initial design budget, a payment plan can help clients to add special pieces over time or afford something more ambitious. Art collectors can spread payments out to fit budgets so that fine art is attainable for everyone. Talk to us about your options before you place your order, as we cannot refund payments after they are processed.
Can I cancel an order?
If your order has not yet been processed, we can cancel it. Call us to ensure we have received your cancellation before processing.
