Ridge Runner 16" x 12" - Montana Miniatures

Pronghorns are a unique species with beautiful markings and strange hooked horns. I love seeing them grazing in open spaces across the west, or running like the wind along a ridge-line against the sky. This portrait was a delight to paint, allowing me to explore all the nuances of this special animal. 

Painted in oils on Belgian linen mounted on Gatorboard panel.
