SOLD The Red Road is a unique spiritual path of the Native American peoples, and particularly for the Lakota as this painting depicts. Others may walk The Red Road with you, but no one can walk it for you. It is a way of life and enlightenment that requires meaningful personal commitment, guided by the Seven Sacred Virtues: Prayer, Honesty, Humility, Compassion, Respect, Generosity, and Wisdom. These sacred virtues can guide all of us, Native American or not, to lead a good life and help others to live the best life they can too.

This portrait of a Lakota man shows him looking up and out towards his own spiritual path. Wrapped in a red blanket, only his eagle feather headdress shows his status and bravery. He is a warrior, a peacekeeper, a provider and protector for his people.
