SOLD This Lakota woman is dressed for a special event in her best dentalium shell and beadwork hair drops, bone choker, and a single eagle feather in her hair. She holds an eagle feather fan which has both practical and ceremonial uses. Used for fanning the air and for shade on a hot day, the fan is also an expressive part of her dancing. With the concept of air being the focus of this painting, I've allowed her to dissolve around the edges and become one with the atmosphere.
