SOLD Desert cottontail rabbits hop happily around in the shadows under cacti and other desert plants. Sometimes they seem a little thinner than their plump northern cousins, but perhaps the shorter fur helps keep them cool, along with those large ears that catch the breeze. These athletes can put on a burst of speed when they need to.
