SOLD Luna is my Angel of Moonlight, guardian angel for those who find themselves vividly awake while the world slumbers, seeking answers in the darkness. She is benevolent and kind, intelligent and full of wonder. A gold headpiece encircles her mind, containing thoughts that whir and click like tiny cogs in an intricate machine. Jeweled butterflies flutter about her head, representing ideas newly emerged and awaiting their chance to shine. Her embroidered collar constricts her voice, but swirling leather straps leave spaces for her heart’s love to fly free. She holds the answers to our innermost questions.

Luna watched over me as I wandered in the early hours, gazing at the stars and wishing for miracles. She represents many aspects of my life during the months that I painted her, keeping me company through a stressful but wonderfully transformational time. She is a deep reflection of my innermost thoughts and an expression of the hidden elements of my life that few people see. I hope her compassionate gaze brings comfort and hope to all who experience her presence.

The Angel Series
Who are these angels? They are everyone and no-one. They are the essence of us all, our deepest thoughts, our higher selves. They come to the world with flaws and failings, as do we all. They learn, they grow, they begin to see beyond the veil and evolve into enlightenment. The bindings hide their inner truths, hold in the pain, but also protect. They are pure and free. They may empower us in the light or comfort us in the darkness. They watch over us as guardian angels. They bring peace, harmony, and love to the world.

The Angel Series is a new journey of artistic exploration, drawing on all the things I love to paint, expressed in a new way for a changing world. I’m layering favorite elements including faces, drapery, nature, and abstracts to express my deepest thoughts. Inspired by angels, they are large so that you can really feel their positive presence in your home and live with them like a friend. These paintings are the embodiment of my life’s work to bring more love and happiness to the world. May they bring you a lifetime of smiles as they watch over you.
