This still life painting shows a Plains style Native American feather bonnet and beaded bow-case and quiver, set on a buffalo robe. These items are from my own reference collection, and were painted entirely from life in the traditional tonal realism style that I was trained in some 36 years ago. The feathers speak of a life lived with bravery, while the intricate beadwork reflects the creativity and patience of Native American women.
Painted in oils on Belgian linen mounted on panel.
Brushed champagne silver frame.
