BETWEEN WORLDS

The history and cultures of the many Native American tribes are infinitely diverse and unique. I'm inspired by their artistry with beads, quills, paint, feathers, hide and hair. 
Their languages are so different to each other and extremely complex in structure, and I like to name some of my paintings in the language of the person depicted. 
I paint portraits of the people I meet and some who I imagine might have lived between this world and the past, trying to honor their cultures and tell some stories that might not have been told yet.
